The Architecture of Softness

Architecture is often conceived as a category of objects that are masculine, strong and invincible. Sensuality and tenderness, if ever discussed in architecture, are usually addressed in an abstract and metaphorical way, rarely concerned with the way material respond with the body. This project explores the potential of using soft material as a device to create a new condition between our body and the architectural surfaces, and thus the physical and social consequences of these new conditions.
